The HBO Max production will be releasing the House of the Dragon series this August. This story concerns the Targaryen civil war that took place about 300 years before the events portrayed in `Game of Thrones.
The Targaryen civil war arises between siblings Aegon II and Rhaenyra, who fought for the throne after the death of their father. The series features well-known actors and actresses like Matt Smith, who is playing the role of Daemon Targaryen, and Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.

The series also features Olivia Cooke, Ewan Mitchell, Paddy Considine, and Graham McTavish, amongst others. House of the Dragon promises to explain a lot about the House of Targaryen, the backdrop of family politics, their love for power, and most importantly, their connection with dragons.
The series’ first episode will be released on August 21, 2022. The trailer is, however, available on YouTube.
