Bill Winston Biography
Bill Winston is a renowned American revivalist, preacher, author, and enterpriser. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of Living Word Christian Center, which is a non-denominational church in Forest Park, Illinois with more than 22,000 members. Winston’s biblical teachings are also aired on several radio networks within the United States.

Winston got enrolled and later graduated from Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, Alabama in 1967. After his graduation, he joined the North American nation Air Force, where he served for 6 years. He served as a combat pilot throughout Vietnam.
In March 1971 he piloted Associate in Nursing F-4E Phantom that stricked the anti-aircraft batteries deep at intervals in North Vietnamese territory. He got the Distinguished Flying Cross following the mission. Growing up, Dr. Winston was influenced by Tuskegee airmen and their historic aviation accomplishments. These airmen served as his role models and later influenced his six-year career within U.S. Air Force.
In 2006, Friends International Christian University in Sunshine State awarded Dr. Bill Winstonan an Honorary Doctorate degree in Humane Letters in acknowledgment of his teachings.

Bill Winston Career
Winston joined the IBM Corporation as a marketer in January 1973. Shortly after, he was promoted to Regional promoting Manager in IBM’s Midwest Region. He has stated that it was during this time at IBM that he became spiritually “born again” and felt the urge from God to get into fulltime ministry. In 1985 he quit from IBM and commenced attending Logos Bible faculty. Later, in 1996, Winston attended Oral Roberts University briefly.
In 2006, Friends International Christian University in Sunshine State awarded Dr. Bill Winston associate degree unearned academic degree in Humane Letters in acknowledgment of his teachings.
Ministry
Winston and his wife started a small ministry in 1988 while they were still residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Every weekend they would travel to Chicago to sponsor a two-day Faith Crusades whereby the attendance was less than 20 people. Winston relocated to Chicago with his family by December 1988.
He founded and ran a Bible training school, with the training services held at the Quality Inn Hotel at Madison and Halsted Streets in Chicago. In 1989, it transformed into the “Living Word Church of Chicago.” Later in 1990, it was renamed to “Living Word Christian Center”.

The church rented space for services from 1994 through 1997, at the Chez Roué Banquet Hall in Forest Park, Illinois. As the ministry grew, they purchased the Forest Park Mall, a 33-acre shopping mall. On New Year’s Eve of 1997, the church held its first worship service at the mall. Since then, the church and its worship facility has expanded into a multimillion-dollar, state-of-the-art worship center. Additionally, the church’s auditorium is notable for its forward architectural design.
