Starting February 13, 2025, Indian passport holders with valid visas, residence permits, or Green Cards from six additional countries can get a visa on arrival in the UAE. The new countries added to the list are Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
Previously, this facility was limited to Indian nationals with valid documents from the US, UK, and EU countries. Now, a wider group of Indian travelers can benefit from the streamlined entry process.

To qualify, travelers must have a passport valid for at least six months and pay the required visa fees. The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) announced the change, highlighting its aim to strengthen ties with India and make travel easier for Indian families and professionals.
The move is part of the UAE’s broader strategy to attract skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and tourists. By simplifying entry procedures, the country hopes to reinforce its position as a global hub for business, tourism, and investment.
Indian nationals planning to visit the UAE under the new rules should ensure their documents meet the criteria. This expansion is expected to boost travel between the two nations, which already share strong economic and cultural connections.
